The Resciesa funicular is a modern lift that ascends from the town of Ortisei to the expansive Alpe Resciesa at 2,200 meters, right in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. At the top, visitors are greeted with stunning panoramic views of the Sella massif, Marmolada, and the Sassolungo Group. The area is a hub for outdoor activities year-round. In summer, it's an ideal starting point for numerous hikes and mountain bike trails. In winter, it is famous for its long and scenic toboggan run that descends back towards the valley. A mountain restaurant at the summit offers traditional Ladin and South Tyrolean cuisine, and there's even an option to stay overnight in charming Junior Suites.
